Chaneblog: New Style

What's good everyone? This blog is about what's to come. A new year is about to upon on us, and that means what we did the year before, can't be done again. Its time to grind even harder. For me, that means more studio time. And yeah I finally pieced together my own set up to record all my mixtapes myself. And it also means being a better father and a fiance as well. All those things will make me a better person in general, and at the end of the day, that's what its all about for me. Everything else will fall in place God willing. The Earthquake single will be digitally distributed by Island/Def Jam in January 2010, so that's definitely a good look

Obstacles

What's good? I hope all is well with everyone. Right now I'm about to embark on a recording frenzy after a good hiatus. Luckily I was able to do videos to keep visible to my supporters and the industry as well. Still playing the waiting game with the labels but nevertheless, I'm still on my grind ya know. My manager told me obstacles are the steps opportunity and I really listened to those words and I live by them. He's exactly right.

Chaneblog: Hate

What's good everyone? I hope all is well. This blog is dedicated to the haters. I have gotten pretty far in regards to getting my music noticed, and its showing now I am starting to people I grew up with hating. One would think it would be the opposite and have people who don't know you hating, but life can be funny like that. Hate is an emotion that is fueled by lack of ambition towards acheiving your own goals, no matter big or small they may be.

Ask Nadia: #2

For my second blog entry I was going to write about my absolute fav designer, but with these tough economic times I thought a better second entry would be some great fashion finds that won't hurt your pocket. Any true fashionista can tell you that keeping in style can be expensive; especially when some items no longer are in style. I have to give kudos to Isaac Mizrahi, who in my opinion started a great trend in designer for a department store that is pocket friendly. Soon after Tara Jarmon, Vera Wang and Anna Sui followed. I took a look at the clothes Anna Sui designed for Target and I have to say I just loved them! Vera Wang has her collection at Kohl's and her collection is completely amazing. I think every piece there is on my Gotta Have It list. Dana Buchman, a designer who's clothes you could only find at Bloomingdale's, is now also at Kohl's. So now whether you need to stay in fashion for work or for your nights out with the girls or that special guy, take my advice and turn to Kohl's - I know I am.

Ask Nadia: Intro

Ever since I can remember I have lived and breathed fashion. From watching my mom get ready for work in latest designer "Ready to Wear" dress to pouring over her Vogue Magazines. While most girls my age talked about their latest preteen crushes, I had only one thing on my mind - clothes! And not just any clothing but designer clothes that made you the envy of everyone. Some might think it strange this obsession with clothes to have started so young but I assure you perfectly normal for a girl who was sent to kindergarten in patent leather Ralph Lauren shoes and   Christian Dior dresses. Osh Kosh? Don't believe I ever wore them. I knew about Versace, Chanel, Yves St Laurent, Oscar de la Renta and all the other great artists before I even had my first kiss. They were my first love and I'm in it for the long haul - my love affair with fashion.

Premonitions and More....

What's up everyone? I hope all is well. I been up to my usual-grinding-trying to make things happen.

Since my last transitional blog, I have made some intricate changes in my life. I did get a new job. So yes, it has better hours and two days off that are more appropriate for me to spend time with the family. That corporate world pays you, but rightfully so, causes you pay for it as well.

ChaneBlog: Paying Dues/Quality Time

What's good everyone. I hope all is well. I been grinding, you already. Got a few projects on hold because my producer has to get his system upgraded. But still been actively spitting in the hood and networking in NYC. I'm still paying dues basically. And you never actually stop if " sky is the limit" is your motto. You already.... So I still got three more mixtapes coming. They are tentatively titled Radio Ready, Futurama, Channed Down. You never know though, things change so quickly...

Transitions in Life and Music

What's good ya'll? I hope all is well. I'm going a transitional phase. I'm thinking about changing my career, living arrangement and even my lifestyle. I know major stuff right? Well I have learned to embrace even when it seems like change for the better. I have faced so much adversity, that change will always been prevalent in my life.

When my father passed away, I had to become man on the house and with that I had to assume the duties that came with it. I was unable to finish school because of personal issues and I had to bring food home on the table. Not an easy task , but I managed to do it.

Impressions of Maine

I cannot lie and tell you that I know what Maine has to offer. But that in itself, makes it most intriguing to me. That air of mystery makes me want to take a summer vacation there with family sometime soon.

A lot of places get praised for there scenic beaches and I'm sure you can find the beauty in a place such as Maine just the same. A lot of the most popular places are about status and how much it may cost to get there.
